一、多用常用词汇

二、句子结构比较简单

口语中大量使用的是简单句，一个简单句接一个简单句，一连出现十来个简单句也不足为奇。用and或but连结的并列句也是较常见的。

复合句有时也用得上，但一般都较简单。用得较多的从句是条件、时间、方式等状语从句和表语从句及宾语从句等。

三、缩写形式多

凡是可以缩写的，口语中几乎从不使用完整形式。
